Fallen Tree Ghost

When I was somewhere between age of eight and ten, a terrible accident happened to the family who lived in the house behind us. They were having guests over for a cook out on the grill when it started to get exceptionally windy. So windy in fact that a tree ended up falling and landing on the chest of the father. Paramedics were unable to save him.

During one of the nights in the following week, I woke up to the blurry image of a gray man standing outside my doorway. Utterly terrified I tried my hardest to scream for my mom but I could neither speak nor move. In a matter of ten seconds the image seemed to run away, and for the life of me I still recall footsteps. As soon as it was gone I could move and speak, but it took a good hour for me to get the nerve to run to my parents room upstairs.

I didn't make the connection to the father killed by the falling tree for almost a week. I'm very skeptical about these things, and I've never truly known what to think about all this. For all I know I could have imagined it all, but it just seems too vivid to say.

Rose Hill Cemetery

On April 6, 2001 it was my 21st birthday I was having a party with a couple of my close friends and we were going to go up to Rose Hill cemetery. We took my car up to the cemetery late at night at around 8 or 9 o'clock. When we arrived it was pretty dark and we had to go around the cemetery where there was a gate missing. We parked across the street in front of an old convenience store and we walked right in.

We walked around for a while taking pictures of grave stones and we visited the one with Francis Pierce. We continued to walk west of Rose Hill cemetery, I think we were in section L (they have sections with the alphabet depending on the dead person's name). While we were walking around section L we saw a child dancing around a pair of graves and by the time we were getting ready to take the picture she was gone. We got excited and went to look at the graves, it was a mother and her daughter.

After a while we walked into section N and saw the little girl again but this time she was very faint like she was disappearing into a mist (I almost peed myself and I got out of that cemetery as fast as I could). By the time we got home we ordered pizza and went to bed and the dream I had was the little girl and her mom in an old house and they were wearing rags for clothes. When I woke I called my friends and it turned out they had the same exact dream.

I've had other experiences and if you want to hear more I'm going to post more thank you.

The Shadow Creature

I have never experienced any paranormal encounters but I love ghost stories. Anyway, I know some things that happened to my family. This is just a tale that comes to mind.

My grandmother, who is around fifty-four or something, was small, maybe a teenager. She was at her house with her sister and sister-in-law. The adults were not at home. They were listening to music, dancing and just goofing around in the bedroom, with a chair pushed against the door to keep people out. The girls were the only ones in the room. But soon, they stopped laughing when they started to hear noises. They knew nobody was there and they kept hearing odd sounds in the house. The chair they had pushed against the door moved suddenly like somebody was trying to get in. They all ran outside.

They opened the doors to my great-grandpa's car, the only vehicle there at the time. It seemed like the only place they could be safe. Soon, they saw a shadow-like figure emerge on the front porch. They said it looked like it was a large dog, standing on its hind legs. My grandma and her sister-in-law were screaming; they tried to get my aunt, Shirley, to look at the shadow, but she refused.

The thing, whatever it was, walked down from the porch to the car, and proceeded to stare at them through the windows. They held their heads down, trying not to look, filled with terror at the shadow. The only thing they remember after that was the return of my great-grandparents, who were shocked at the story they heard.

The Devil's Phone Number

I don't believe really any of the stories others post on these sites, stories that are made up with great titles and a fake storyline to make it look like a good story, to make people want to read it. They are lengthy, well told stories. But this is one that, no matter how short or unappealing, tells a real account from the paranormal. My stories aren't stretched or as far-fetched as others.

My mom, Ann, My Aunt Debbie, My Uncle, Alan, and My Uncle, Jimmy were all in a bedroom at my great-grandmother's house. The house was owned by a man named Zeb Hanes. My mom's family has experienced many things there, individually and as a family. The house has been burned down for many years now, at least fifteen. But all the people in that bedroom were bored. My uncles, my aunt and my mom weren't doing much of anything. But they soon spotted an old telephone lying on the floor. My Uncle, Jimmy, went over to the phone. As a joke, he dialed the number "666" into the phone. As they all expected, nothing happened. everybody just went back to whatever else they were doing, still bored, wondering what to do. But a minute later, the phone actually rung. Nobody stayed behind to answer it, they just all ran out of the room. The scariest thing was about it was that the phone that had just rang wasn't even plugged into the wall.

This is a very short, very true account, no matter what anybody says. I am sure if you were in that same house, and dialed the same number into a phone that wasn't plugged in, it would ring. Would you talk to Satan? I wouldn't.

My Cat Sheena

This was not an ordinary cat. Sheena was found in a garbage dump. I didn't see her but my husband and daughter did. All I remember is my husband telling me to grab that kitten and let's go. So, I seen her then and picked her up and we took her home.

She, for some odd reason, took up with me and loved me. I loved her too and still do. She was a tortoise shell. She lived to be twelve years old and one day she went outside and never came back. I prayed for her to come back but she didn't.

One night I was asleep in bed when I felt something jump up on the bed and go down to my feet and lay down. I thought, great Sheena's back and I looked down and there was nothing there. But I kept feeling something down at my feet. Sheena always laid down by my feet and she kept my feet warm in the winter. She will come and visit me every time I feel lonely or by myself. She jumps up on the bed and lay's down beside my feet and then I can sleep.

I lost her about 6 years ago and I am still looking for another kitten like her but I haven't found one yet. I miss her and she knows it.

The Old Indian's Ghost

My family and I moved in the house in August of 1991. That's when the hauntings began. I was just a kid then so my mother never told me about this until I got older. Every night around 11:00 there is an old Indian who walks up and the our driveway. He is coming from the river banks behind the house. One night, my mother and our old neighbor saw a man climbing over our neighbors fence and started to go behind our garage. Now there is a lot of stuff behind our garage so nobody can go behind unless they move stuff, that means they have to make noise and none of them heard noise. He walked up our driveway and back down again. My mother and neighbor went inside the house and they were scared.

One night our neighbor came over and said that she saw the Indian with a horse going our driveway and she never looked out her window at night anymore. She has moved a couple years ago and someone else owns the house now. Till this day, the old Indian still walks around at night. It is very freaky to see a dead Indian walk around at night.

He was an Indian chief that still guards his land and might not know that everything has changed since he was alive. He is very scary looking. He has white hair and looks old. Sometimes if you listen carefully, you can hear him banging his war drums sometimes loud or sometimes soft.

Repairs of the Creepy House

About 8 years ago my aunt had bought a old Farm house, it needed a lot of repairs. She had to knock out the wall, because the room was to small and needed better insulation.

My aunt thought the place was haunted after a month of living there. When she hired James (her friend) to knock out the wall and ceiling she found out that James had known he people who had lived there before. When she started that repair's everything from that point went down hill for her. The machinery wouldn't work, the wood stove was working but it was always cold in the house, late at night she would hear screaming, noises, and footsteps.

When she finally got to tarring down the wall she found a bloody t-shirt, and when they tore down the ceiling she found razors, and small bones. Shortly after when they finished the house the foot steps and noises went away. What really happened and why was there a bloody t-shirt and razors we never found the connection.

The Ghostly Changing Portraits

It all started when my Mothers Sister was having a wedding. We live in Miami Florida, and my Mother Sister lives in Canada. We were going to Canada to be there with my Aunt and her fiancé at the wedding. It took a long time to get to Canada from Miami Florida, so we had to make a stop. We had never been to Canada before, so my Father had to bring a map. After about 12 hours and 30 minutes driving around in pretty much a circle, we found some strange old man walking around. We decided to pull over and ask where we were. My Dad asked him if he knew where we were. The old man just kinda stared at him for a minute as if he didn't know what my Father said. My Father showed him the map and the old man said we wasn't anywhere near the maps directions.

He asked if we where looking for a place to stay. Dad replied with a simple yes. We slowly followed the old man as he lead us to an old cabin. He told us that that cabin belongs to him. Dad asked why it looked so burnt down. He told us that a long time ago him and his friends where in a fire accident and he had lost them. We got out of the car and walked towards the front door. The old man pulled out a dusty key and unlocked the door. He gave us and extra key and said "Enjoy your stay." Dad smiled and thanked him. The cabin was very small.

It was around 11:00PM when we got there. What caught my attention was all the various beautiful portraits I saw. Some portraits had mad angry faces while others had strange blank faces, some had harmful faces some had harmless faces. The portraits were very life-like. I fell asleep around 12:30AM and awoke around 2:40AM. But,what really gave me a shock when I awoken, is that when I looked back at the portraits in the morning, they were windows instead of paintings.

The Ghost Of The Alexandra Hotel

Well, typical ghost story really...

I was painting a pub with two of my mates in Jarrow, England. It was the last night and I was standing on the bar and Jak and Paul were in the toilet. I thought I saw Jak come out of the toilets so I said something to him, not sure what I said though. I looked round after I got no answer and I got the shock of my life. A tall, dark grey semi-transparent figure with no out line, like smoke - floated clear as day past the bar. It was light too.

I ran into the toilets and saw Jak and Paul and they were scared for me - I was pale white. I've never felt so sick in my life. I was speechless. Apparently when we asked the staff the next day, they had seen/heard stuff for months, but they didn't elaborate on it.

A Christmas Eve To Remember

It was Christmas eve of 2001 and I was 8 years old. Christmas was at my grandparents two story house in McPherson and well being 8 and all I was always scared very easily. Well anyway lets get on with the story shall we?

Everyone in the house was asleep, and I was sleeping in the family room. I woke up and had to use the bathroom and the only bathroom was next to the creepiest room in the house... the attic. I had always been afraid of the attic and only went near it when I was with someone.

I walked up the stairs and heard a loud scream. As I slowly walked up the stairs I saw the most terrifying thing. There standing right in front of me was a tall dark figure with long black wings and glowing red eyes. As I stared at it, it started walking towards me so, scared out of my life I ran into the bathroom screaming and slammed the door.

I heard pounding on the door and heard a voice... it was my grandpas voice. After that incident strange things happened; my grandpa died when I was in third grade; after that my grandmas dog died with fear in her eyes. She decided to move to a different home near our house and then we started to rent a house in Hutch. But now even stranger things have occurred at our home! I shall make of it that I send another story of what has been happening.
We really need to find out what is going on in our home.

God Knows What Happened

I was coming home with my ex and a little boy by the age of 10. We were locked out so we decided to go through the fire escape because it was always open, but we couldn't reach it. So my ex called his brother to come around through the front. As we were walking, out of no where something picked up the little boy. He started screaming. I turned around and I froze because of what I saw. He was floating two feet above the ground. Next thing I know he got thrown into a concrete wall. I screamed. The little boy started to be pulled back. I started pulling him back towards me. My ex came running around to the back. He just stood there for a quick second because he was too much in shock from what he was seeing. The little boy was being pulled back and forth. Then, what ever that was pulling him released. Me and the little boy went flying into my ex.

Next thing I knew something was pulling on my arms. I was too floating in a short amount of time. It pulled my hair until some of it came off and then released me. It then ripped off my shirt. I screamed, it stopped. We all got up and started running. We ran into my ex's brother. He looked at me for a quick second and asked, "What happened?" but he didn't get to finish because something started choking him. We all started pulling on him. Then my cousin came through the door and everything stopped.

It was scary. I lost my favorite shirt that day. And the little boy got very injured. We were all scared for life.

Half Human Half Cat Creature

When I was 10, I lived on a farm in Warkworth, New Zealand. We lived in a big old house.

One night about 10 pm I went outside to the toilet, as our toilet was not in the house, but in the Laundry. Anyway I had the toilet door open with the outside pouch light on. I looked across in the dark and saw this creature. It was half cat and half human. It had a cat face, but a human body, and it was caught in the outside clothesline.

I stopped breathing so it would not see me and I waited until it passed me, and I stood up and ran inside to tell my dad who was awake at the time. When my dad went outside to look he said it was a cow going out the gate. Can these creatures shape shift?

I did not make this up, I just kept it quiet in case someone thought I was mad. Please tell me if someone had the similar experience.

Demons Inside Me

I have always been a believer of the supernatural, and always liked to research on things. One year, I believe my snooping went to far.

I was on my laptop, and was really tired, it was 1 in the morning, but I didn't want to go to bed. I was looking up demonic rituals, because they seem most interesting to me. After hours of looking I started to feel funny. At first I just shook off the feeling, but after awhile I realized I couldn't move. I got really scared, and tried to scream, but I couldn't. I closed my eyes, as I felt a weight on my legs. The weight moved up to my chest, like hands. I remember at this point starting to cry a little, I was so scared.

I wanted to yell for someone to come help me, but my parents were out at a party still. The weight stopped at my chest and got heavier. It didn't hurt, I could just feel the pressure. After what seemed like hours the weight eased up, and I could move again. After I could move, I ran and turned on my lights, and sat on my bed crying.

It has been a year since that, but don't think for a minute it is over. I have never been the same since that night. I am more angry all the time, and I cant go into a church anymore. Every time I try, I become sick, and throw up blood. I have even lashed out at people screaming things I never thought I knew of. I have woken up with scratches on my arm. If anyone wishes to help me, please reply soon, please. Thank you.

Creature From Hell

My story goes back to 1997. We just moved into a new house, it was big and beautiful. I enjoyed it a lot in the starting period but only the starting period. So one day my mom and dad took my baby brother and went for a walk leaving me, my big sister and one of her friends at the house. It was 11:00 pm.

Me, my sister and her friend were playing in the backyard and it was that very time when I heard something running on the roof of my house. I thought it must be a cat or something so didn't even care to look. Then I heard something again but this time it stopped. When I turned back I saw a human naked, it had a tail and ears his eye balls were white and long teeth standing on the wall and was laughing and calling me towards itself. I was freaked out and screamed at my sis and her friend. They also saw that thing and my sisters friend fainted at the spot and me and my sis were screaming because we were kids and had nothing to do.

It suddenly ran away we got scared like hell and we ran towards my sis friend we thought he had done something to her. My sister started crying and our neighbors heard the shouting so they also came running to the spot. When they saw us scared and crying they were like what happened? where are your mom and dad? Just three minutes later our mom dad came home and then we were relaxed to see our parents. We tried to tell them but they didn't believe.

Now its been 11 years and I'm 19 now but that thing still haunts me. It surely looked like a devil, ugly and scary. If anyone of you has seen such a thing please do tell me I wanna know what it was. Please, that thing is still in my head clear as anything.

Haunted Apartment

I never gave a lot of thoughts to, or believed in, ghosts until one day at my best friend's apartment. I knew spirits of the deceased existed in this crazy world of ours, however, I never saw one until that eventful early in the morning (3 AM). My best friend and I were chatting away and then, we heard one of the bed rooms door slam so loud and both asked, who slammed the door? Nobody answered, then we creeped upstairs to see if my best friend's husband or kids were up and around.

When we reached at the top of the stair well, it was silent and everybody was sound asleep. We both looked at each other and creeped us out. The following morning, all of us woke up and went downstairs to have breakfast and while we sat down to bless the food, suddenly, we've heard someone running in my best friend's bedroom, which directly below us.

From that day forward, I am a firm believer that spirits or ghosts do exist, but most of all, their influences can have an everlasting impression or adverse effect on some of us if we allow them to co-exist with us, either by choice or not. This apartment was built on an old graveyard site (for sure) and many of the residents have seen or experienced similar to what we did that night. Remember, there are many stories to be told about this apartment complex, however, I will share it with you all next time. Believe me, this is true and I can testify it to you with all my heart and soul. Regardless if spirits are good or bad, they do exist.

Ghost that Lurks in the Hospital

I'm from South Africa. My brother was in hospital about two months ago. He was there for about three weeks and during his recovery there he had encountered something very shocking to us.

He was fast asleep and it was probably at around 1 am, he said he felt like some was breathing against his cheek but he thought he was dreaming and turned. Then he felt it breath on the other side cheek. He got up and saw a lady standing next to him and to his surprise the lady's face was half covered by her bushy hair. When he tried to scream she started to strangle him. Thank god he had a picture of the god he prays to (we are Hindi and the picture was Lord Hanuman).  When he managed to grab the picture the spirit left is neck and ran out through the window.

My brother wasn't scared but he was shocked because if he didn't have that picture there would that spirit of killed him? We all were shocked.

The Evil Demon

This story is very true, it happened to my aunt in Long Island, New York, in the year 2007. Let me tell you, Demons are real.

My aunt was sleeping, you know it was a weekend. She woke up in a panic because she felt like "something" was choking her. She wasn't able to breath. She grabbed her rosemary, and started praying to god. As soon as she said in the name of Jesus Christ amen, the thing left just like that. She was able to breath normally again. She was terrified, that this thing could have killed her.

The next morning she tells me that on her neck there were like bruised red hand marks. To this day she sleeps with the rosemary by her side, scared that, that day may come again.

She told me that she swore she thinks its a demon. I was sacred when she had told me this. I still get the goosebumps still thinking about it, even to this day.

Little Boy and the Blue Ball

Well me and my family were staying at this hotel in this city that the name escapes me and I was about 10 years old. My mom was tucking me into bed. By that time I slept alone in my bed and if I remember correctly it was a horrible night. It was about 3 am and I started to hear like if it was a little boy playing and I also heard laughter, a lot of laughter. I didn't really get scared until I heard a very strong deep voice saying "get out, get out of our home," then I screamed and screamed and my mom came up to me and said, "what's wrong sweetie?" and I said, "mom I'm scared. I'm really scared," and she said, "sweetie do you want to sleep with me?" and I said yes.

The next night I also heard a little kid playing and laughing but this time I wanted to find out what it was so it was about 3 am as well. I creeped opened the door and I saw a ghostly figure of a little boy playing with a blue ball. The story is that the hotel used to be the home of a family of a mother from Germany that passed away when the little boy was born a father from Russia. A little boy that loved to play with the blue ball and there was another little boy which was disabled that passed away at three years old but the only thing that the family was to be in peace and to not be disturbed and to live in their home and obviously they did not like that they made their beautiful home hotel to many people.

Amanda and the Indian Ghost

I live in a house that is about 100 years old or older. I've lived there for 17 years. There is an Indian who walks outside of my house and never comes in. Why? No clue. I live on the river so that's probably why.

Well one night my brother wanted to be brave and go outside in the dark and take pictures of the backyard. The Indian chased up the yard and stopped at the sidewalk and wouldn't go past it. Sadly, those pictures never did come out and it was weird because the flash was very good and was met for outside in the dark.

The other spirit is the ghost of Amanda. No one seems to know anything about her except she died at the age of 12 years old. She still roams the house and does pranks on us. The scariest ghost is that Indian. Imagine being chased by an Indian that's been dead for many many years. I know that I was so scared, my brother had to pick me up and carry me up to the house and he is smaller then me,poor guy.  When ever I go out back at night, I always have someone with me.

Never take pictures of a ghost when it doesn't expect it.

Karangahake Gorge New Zealand

I live in New Zealand North Island, its quite haunted around my area. There is a tourist tunnel walk in the Karangahake Gorge. The gorge used to be a old mining town, the tunnel was made by hand in the early 1900's, a few people died making the tunnel, many people died when the rain came through, there was a flood through the town and washed all of the whole mining town into the water. The town was on a bank now known as the Karangahake Gorge.

I went for a walk when I first came to New Zealand, I walked through the tunnel in the day. The walk through the bush was nice but through the tunnel it was horrible. I started sweating and felt sick and I couldn't breath, on the walls in the tunnel looked like imprints of bodies. The walls are still covered in soot even though the train hasn't gone through in over a hundred years.

When I went into the tunnel I had a torch and a few roof lights to guide me. I felt as if I was going to pass out. My brother dropped his torch so my step mum ran to help him and I had no torch. I was walking and I saw something in the corner of my eye and it was shaped like a human but very dark and I felt so scared. I looked to my right and it had disappeared, and on the walk on the way back through the bush again I didn't touch a thing because it felt protected by the Moari warriors. This may sound weird but its true.

My First Ghost Encounter

It all started about nine years ago. I was about seven or eight. It was around 8 or 9 o'clock at night and I was in my grandmothers bedroom watching TV just like any other night. All of a sudden I see something out of the corner of my right eye and as I turn my head to look and see what it was... there wasn't anything there. I found that rather strange but didn't think anything of it so I just went to bed and assumed my mind was playing tricks on me.

The next day around the same time I saw it, it was a tall shadow looking figure. It just walked through the house as if it was just any other person. It turned at the end of the hall into my mothers room, but by the time I ran to the room and turned the light on there was no trace of anything unusual there.

A few months later the previous owner asked my grandmother if we had seen a tall dark shadow looking figure walking through the house. My grandmother had no clue as to what she was talking about but I never said a thing about it. To this day I've never spoke a word of it to anyone.
