Poltergeist Making a Mess of the House

I don't believe this story even though it happened to me. I was young, a nobody, a person that was laughed upon by his peers, at work the people wouldn't take me seriously. I would return home, which I had been living in for about six months as the house had been in the family for years.

One night in June, something strange happened, at night roughly 12:15 I heard a strange noise coming from the other side of the room. An old picture of my family from 1890 showing a christening of one of the younger members who was my great, great uncle who passed away at age four.

This continued for weeks on end. My wife, also skeptical, believed there was a draft coming from the outside, and causing the picture to move. At this time my wife was also heavily pregnant with my first son Laurence.

The night before my wife gave birth to my son I heard some strange noises coming from downstairs, I went downstairs and the room was a mess, like someone had knocked everything over, everything was a mess on the floor, I blamed it on the cat.

A few weeks later my son came home after being stricken ill in the hospital. One night I awoke to hear a noise coming from the nursery. I went in to find everything a mess like the kitchen except for the cot which was perfectly fine. My wife, scared, left me as she couldn't handle the stress, since then she never returned to the house since then the trouble has stopped but there is a presence that I cannot explain.

The House Poltergeist

My mum and my step-brother had just gone out to my aunties house, and I was home alone. I had decided not to go because I had suddenly come up with a stomach bug, which is weird because I hardly ever get sick. I was on the computer for about half an hour when I heard a loud bang, followed by two other loud bangs. We have a dog that makes a lot of noise, that has her own room near the kitchen. I went to look in on her but her door was closed and she was sleeping. She looked so cute when she was sleeping I forgot about the noise and went back to the computer, thinking it must have been the wind in the kitchen somewhere.

About another half an hour later the bangs started again but a bit more louder and frequent. I started to walk towards the kitchen again, when I noticed it was coming from upstairs. I went up the stairs and along the corridor to the bathroom (we have quite a big house) where my little step-brothers toy draws were. When I got there they had all been thrown across the floor and the wooden stack that was holding the draws had been tipped over.

I heard another crash the other side of the corridor. I stopped for a moment but something was telling me to go and find out what it is, so I went down the corridor again and found that the noise was coming from my bedroom. As I put my hand on the door handle gently the noise stopped. I slowly opened the door and found that my dream catcher that was hanging from the ceiling had been pulled down, and all the stuff on top of my wardrobe had been scattered all over my bedroom. I carefully put all of the stuff back where it was and went back downstairs, waiting for my mum and step-brother to get back. When they got back I told my mum, but she thought I was making the whole thing up, but I know I wasn't.

Was This an Angry Poltergeist?

This story is not as freaky as some of the things that are on this site but I feel that I need to maybe get some answers. I swear to God that this happened and this is what made me believe in ghosts.

When I was a little boy, around age eight, I was at my grandparents house where I was riding my bike. I went into my grandpas workshop where he had a small room that my cousins and I would store our bikes, toy tractors, etc... I was coming around the side of my grandpas truck when I started to hear this loud banging noise I, on reflex, spun to see my grandpas cabinet that he stores car batteries in shaking rather violently. Now anyone who has ever handled a car battery knows how heavy they can be, and the fact that nothing else was shaking rules out the possibility that we were having an earthquake.

Whatever was shaking the cabinet seemed to be on the inside throwing its entire body-weight against the doors of the cabinet which are locked tight to this day. After this little ordeal, which didn't scare me at all for some reason even though I was always told that ghosts didn't exist and always thought that if it was proven to me that I would "poop my pants". (I didn't) I ran and told my grandma and mom whom didn't believe me. They then told my grandpa who went with me about a minute after the whole ordeal. Of course there was nothing in the cabinet.
