I was in a deep sleep when I was wakened by a weird pain on my waist. The pain was slight--just annoying but not excruciating. I couldn't go back to sleep until the pain was gone, two to three minutes later.
I woke up a second time and the pain was much more agonizing. I couldn't move; just my eyes. I kept looking around, wanting to see what was causing the pain cause it felt as if an elephant were sitting on my waist. It's still creepy for me to remember that pain. The pain was gone only a minute later and so I went back to sleep again.
The third time I woke up, the pain was the most painful, excruciating, agonizing pain I had felt in my life. I couldn't even move my eyes. All I could do was stare at the ceiling where I saw some weird, white-smoke-ish figure. The figure did NOT look like a ghost. It was just a cloud-like figure.
After the pain went away, I couldn't go back to sleep. But finally I did. That's not the only thing that has happened to me in my house. Actually, on my ceiling, there are dirty handprints, as if someone were crawling on the ceiling. I have tried to wash those handprints off but they just wont come off.
My sister constantly wakes up exactly at 3am. And she claimed that one day, she saw a woman in black cross from MY room to hers. My mother has felt people push her--not strongly enough to fall on the ground. Things fall of all the time (that, though, can be explained).
One day, I thought my mother was with me in the house. But when she got home, I was confused cause I could swear I had seen her. I'm not sure that really happened, though, cause it still feels like it was a dream.

Haunted for Life?
As long I can remember, strange things have been happening. Mostly since puberty. It all started when I was eight or nine.
I woke up one morning to my blanket, which I kicked off the night before floating. I watched it go down slowly then covered my head in fear. I saw a twenty year old red head next to my bed, but wasn't scared.
It only got worse when I hit puberty. Strange markings started showing on my arm (they looked Latin or Greek). My fears only intensified when I saw a man in grey smoke. He was nothing more than a shadow with red eyes. After high school it seemed to subside. Then came my mothers new apartment.
I entered wiccan, which is my greatest regret. It started up again. I saw shadows, got held down and almost raped by a ghost (I could hear its voice), and almost attacked twice. The worse thing though was the guy from the 1940s. He has shown up three times in my life since then. The third time he felt harmless and loving. The other two he scared me horribly.
When I was eighteen I moved from my mothers and it stopped for a little while. Than I started hearing crazy whispers, preventing me from sleeping. The basement freaked me out as I thought someone was watching me and I saw shadows. When I moved back with my mom in her new apartment I was relieved. Nothing happened for months. Then I started talking to Jacob online. It seemed to react. I got held down once again. The shadows came back. That's when he told his house was haunted.
I realized the internet had something to do with some stuff not all of it. Some of it was my old demons. I started seeing things in my computer and I heard someone talking to me on the my cellphone when I was talking to Jacob. I finally moved on my own and now is twenty-one years old. It still haunts me. I see so many shadows its not funny. They are like outlines of humans. Before I saw no features on these shadows.
Something holds me down every now and then and at one point tried to choke me. It never ends. I've gotten so used to these events I'm actually getting bored of them. When it said my name I ignore it as before I looked. The only thing that really scared me was an event that happened right after I talked to Jacob. I've been feeling confused about my feelings towards for awhile. I hated him and love him(I still do). That's when i heard a familiar male voice saying " forget about him.". I got so scared I went to the lobby. What's going on? Why me? Why now? What did I do to deserve being haunted?

Sleep Paralysis and Old Hag
I used to have sleep paralysis a few times when I was about 23 - 25 of age. I was living on my own in that time and had quite stressing period in my life. There were some similarities with all of these occasions.
First there was a dream, quite normal, feeling almost real, I was in bus, in supermarket or where ever with a lot of people and then really suddenly there was an old woman, an old hag, turning quickly and looking at me like saying "You are going to die, right now!"
In that moment I always woke up. Or my eyes opened, but I found out I couldn't move. I felt so tired but that I must not fall back to sleep or I would die. Sometimes I could see things like my covers floating. Once I saw a little boy sitting in the end of my bed and once I felt someone touching my knee. It always felt like a struggle to get my body moving and not fall back to sleep. It was horrifying.
The first time I thought it was just a scary dream. But then it happened again and again. I didn't tell anybody because I was afraid to be considered crazy. Then I got the idea to Google sleep paralysis. In that time (about seven years ago), it wasn't that common to Google things yet.
I haven't seen that old hag for many years now and hope I never will.

It Sat on My Chest and Held Me Down!
Hi, my name is Chance and something happened to me I will never forget. I started doing a little research and its starting to make sense.
I was sleeping on my back with my arms laid out and I woke up to this weird noise. I'm trying to explain it the best I can. It sounded like "WWEEEEEEEEEEEE" then there was a pop noise like your ear popping. Right after the pop something was on top of me sitting on my chest. It was also holding my arms down. I could not breathe and could barely move. My brother was in the room beside me and I tried to scream but nothing would come out. It was dark and I could not see anything. What ever is was, was very strong. I am 230 pounds and am not weak. I thought I was going to pass out cause I couldn't breathe. I got one of my arms free and reached up and I grabbed some hair. It was long greasy hair and I twisted it and pulled whatever it was off of me. When it came off, I heard the pop noise again and it was gone.
Everything I have said here is true. I was wide awake through the whole thing just as awake as I am now typing this. IT WAS REAL! I don't even want to go to bed cause I don't ever want to go through that ever again.

Old Hag Sleep Paralysis
I was 15 when I first saw her, I am now 35. It all began when my brother killed him self that same day. She came at night dressed as my brother but her face was horrifying. From that night on for five years I was just tormented by her. She would pull my hair an hit me when I would go to bed. It got so bad it started doing things in the day.
For five years I didn't sleep in my room. But the torment I went through an other family members I would not wish on anyone. All these years she has been gone because I fought my fear! But she came back last again an don't know why?
Can anyone help me or give info on how to get reed of her for good.

Sleep Paralysis and Fear
I have always suffered from this sleep problem since I was about 11 or 12 years old, I couldn't understand why this happened to me. As you know in those times, back in the 50's and 60's, things of this nature were kept behind close doors. As a child that I was it was very frightful, I knew I was awake but there was nothing I could do about it. The feeling of fear that I had was very overwhelming, I couldn't turn to my family because of there old fashion ways. The nightmare happened to me twice a week, I could hear my mother's voice or someone standing next to me while I lay helplessly in bed, not able to move... The pressure I felt on my chest was very bad and at time I felt pain. But as time passed by, I noticed it only happens when I'm laying face up in bed or on my tummy, never on my side.
As the years pass by I learn to control theses feeling by praying and trying not to think about what was around me, and ride this feeling of fear away from me. As time passes by I had less and less nightmares, and now that I'm older I don't have them no more... but still even now in the back of my mind, I will always remember what happen to me as a child.

Horrifying Sleep Paralysis Encounter
One day as I was asleep in my bed, a sudden wind blew over me, I opened my eyes. And there was a lady with long hair, tall and with a big mark on her forehead. It looked like she was standing in the air. She was talking to me, I was just immobilized. She was staring at me. I wanted to shout mommy, which I was not able to. My body became stiff, I was not able to move. I felt a sudden pain all over my body, as if I was lying over ice, I was shivering. It was too dark for me to see the lady's face but what I saw I can never forget throughout my life.
I was feeling drowsy, I felt a sudden faint and my eyes were closing. Suddenly I heard my mother's voice I looked at my watch for the time which read 6 o'clock in the morning.
I said it to my mother, what happened for which she laughed at me and said me to get ready for school. Who ever I said did not believe me, but still I want to share it with others, though you believe me or not. Though it may look funny to others for me it is the worst part of my life which I will never forget.

Strange Things in My House
In our house I always felt like I was being watched and felt uncomfortable alone. Friends and family told me they felt the same when they stopped, thinking about it now it is women that have said it. Well one night I woke up through the night, and saw white legs walking around the bed coming towards me, obviously I was terrified and shut my eyes telling myself I was imagining it. Then I felt a finger go down my hand. I nearly pushed my husband out of the bed.
After that experience I put my husband through hell and back as he is a light sleeper. I think a lot after that was purely my mind playing tricks, but I believe that particular night wasn’t.
Sometimes I’d feel myself shaking and hear a loud ringing noise, and had to fight to wake up, and when I did wake up I'd feel like crap. One particular time, I got to the point where I was floating through my house down the stairs outside and I came back in and something was following me and I shut the door and led down and someone was banging on the bedroom door. I was terrified and couldn’t open my eyes as they were already, that was the sensation anyway. I did eventually wake up and felt like crap when I did but it felt very real. I've never had that happen like that before or since. It could all be my mind playing tricks on me, but it felt real to me.
Other little things happen over the years too. I know it’s a very mild story but I felt like sharing it. I don’t live in that house anymore. I've had the shaking sensation in this house but I force myself awake as it scares me.

Ghost Rape or Dream?
Well I never really believed in ghosts until July 8th 2008.
Well I'm babysitting and so it time for him to go to bed. I put him to sleep. I'm laying down listening to music looking at my ceiling. BAM! Someone or something grabs me by the throat I can't breathe! Gasping for air, I cant see who or what it is. Its a blur I know I'm in my room I see everything my bedroom door is open I look out the door I'm seeing faces I cant picture who they are I know they're human I just never seen them before.
My TV is on I can hear it I can tell its the price is right, some game show. Now I can tell its a man, he gets on top of me and I'm trying to scream nothing coming out my mouth. Still not able to breathe now I look down I see my nephew asleep cradled in my moms arms. I'm trying to kick my mom to wake her up now trying to scream her name. I still cant breathe. I get desperate trying to fall on the floor, make some type of noise to wake her up. I give up. I'm ready to die. I'm tired. I let go.
Suddenly my eyes open, I look to my left to my television the Price is Right's on, my bedroom door open just like in my dream. My mom still holding my nephew in her arms. She is awake. I start asking saying how could my dream be so accurate if it was a dream. I seem crazy but I ask her over and over again was I sleeping she kept saying yes! One thing I remember is I didn't have sore throat when I laid down. I could barely talk now.

Paranormal Experience in Old Farm House
My experience happened at the house that I'm living in now. It is a old farm house that was built in 1862. The experience happened in November of 08 a few months after I got married. The day of my experience I was down stairs talking with my husband for a while it was in the late afternoon. I decided that I felt like going up stairs to take a nap for little bit. When I went up I got up on my bed and was laying on my left side and I had a house coat on and that was it. I don't fall asleep very fast it takes me about 15 to 20 minutes. I was laying there and I could hear everything around me the TV, dog and my husband walking could see and hear things around me still. I was scared and could hear myself trying to call for my husband to help me but I couldn't yell loud enough for him to hear me. I felt violated and didn't have any control. I finally heard my husband coming up the steps and when he got to the top what ever was violating me suddenly what felt like it raised out of me and I had that same tingling sensation as that happened. This has not happened again since. I wonder sometimes when I'm lying down anywhere if it would happen again. God I hope not. I was not asleep when this happened.
I would like to know if this has happened to anyone else.

Sleep Paralysis and the Old Hag?
When I was about 10 or so I lived at my grandpa and grandmas house for a while. My brother and I were in my room asleep one night, when something woke me up. It was really freezing in my room.
When I had opened my eyes I saw this old lady sitting on the edge of my bed by my brother. She was wearing a black dress with white buttons and edging on it and she had white curly hair, maybe about shoulder length. She was just sitting there and like singing softly what sounded like a lullaby and she was stroking my brothers head and running her fingers through his hair and looking down at him. Then she looked at me and stopped singing and stopped stroking my brother. She was just staring at me and at this point I was very scared and my heart was pounding.
I closed my eyes real tight and then after like maybe 10 seconds I opened them and saw that she was standing by the other side of my bed by me. She took my blanket off me and my brother and threw it on the floor. She then just stood by my door and was staring and staring at me. I was really creeped out. I couldn't move or do anything, and when I tried to scream for my grandparents I couldn't even open my mouth.
I closed my eyes again and while they were closed I heard her moving around and all that and walking then I heard her talking. I couldn't make out what she was saying because I was just too freaked out. That room used to be my uncles when he was younger and lived with his parents and I had asked him the next day if he had ever seen an old lady or anything else scary and he said no that nothing ever happened.
What do you think?

My Experience with Sleep Paralysis
One night I was asleep and I was having a really bad dream. I awoke and was hollering for my fiancé. My chest was hurting really bad and all of a sudden some demonic voice told me that he was not there and that he would be back in a little while. It wouldn't let me turn or talk or even kick him but it was like 2 or 3 minutes before I could talk to him. The thing is it didn't even feel like his hands or anything and then after those few minutes he was there, it was my fiancé.
I don't know if I was having a heart attack or anything like that because my left arm was tingling all the way to my chest and it was bad pains. So I really think something holds you down in those times because when I was being held down it talked to me. The voice felt like really nasty breath on my face and in my ear. It was gross but when I told it to my fiancé he just grinned like it wasn't him.... spooky
This is a true story. I have an eight month old baby now and this happened when he was between one and two months old.

Sleep Paralysis Experience
Okay my story is this; I woke up one morning completely unable to move. I was laying on my right side facing the wall. I tried to scream but nothing came out. I could hear like a growling sound behind me and it kept growing louder and louder. I could move my eyes but it wasn't much help. Then there was a big pressure on me. It felt like I was sinking into my bed. I was paralyzed forty five seconds then I could move. I was literally freaking out. I was hyperventilating like crazy. That was the most terrifying experience in my life to date and I'm only 16.

Ghosts Or Demons?
I don't really believe in ghosts, but still I'm interested. I Do believe in demons, though. Here's my short story.
About a year ago (2008) I was sitting in my living room, alone, when I distinctly heard a male voice call my name. It came from the kitchen area. Nobody was there.
Some months later, once again in the living room, I felt three hard taps on my shoulder. My daughter was in the room but nobody was behind me.
Finally, a few months after the last incident, I was sleeping and in my sleep felt an ominous presence leaning over me. It probably was a dream but I don't know that for sure. I tried to scream but couldn't. I woke up and still tried to scream but could only squeeze out small sounds.
At last, after what seemed like an hour but was only a minute, I managed to call out my husband's name. He came from another room. He told me he heard me making noise and then me calling him. Nobody else was in the house. This still has me spooked.

The Ghost Of My Sister Sara
Some background information to help you understand this is, in one point in time, I had a sister. Her name was Sara, she was born January 27,1986, the day after our father's birthday. She died two years later. Our father then divorced her mother, and married mine. He adopted her two sons and one daughter. Then my mother gave birth to my brother, and then to me two years later. I was born in 1995, yet I have had a few experiences with her.
Sometimes Sara taps on my door, sometimes she influences my dreams, and I dream about her. One nightmare was horrible. In the dream, she had my mother push me into a dark shed, she locked me in there with a rabid Golden Retriever. I knew the shed was haunted and that I would be cursed if I wasn't lucky. I was lucky enough, that something in the shed frightened the dog, and made it curl up beside me, and want to protect me. Yet, I was frightened because I could feel the hatred of the entity sharing the shed with me.
No matter how hard I pounded on the shed door, it would not open. Then I heard a young child's laughter. It was pitch black in the shed, and suddenly, I heard the latch of the door unlock, and the door opened. I thought I had been lucky, I hadn't been cursed... or so I thought.
I saw her, long black hair starting to thin out and turn gray, flesh missing from her face, no eyes, a long cream colored dress with blue flowers on them, worn and tattered. I knew I hadn't escaped, and she followed me around for the rest of the dream. I then woke up, paralyzed by fear. I saw her at the edge of my bed, swinging her feet and singing to me. I couldn't move. She then watched me, and a grin spread across her face. Then she said, "We'll be watching you." and I fell asleep again.

The Evil Demon
This story is very true, it happened to my aunt in Long Island, New York, in the year 2007. Let me tell you, Demons are real.
My aunt was sleeping, you know it was a weekend. She woke up in a panic because she felt like "something" was choking her. She wasn't able to breath. She grabbed her rosemary, and started praying to god. As soon as she said in the name of Jesus Christ amen, the thing left just like that. She was able to breath normally again. She was terrified, that this thing could have killed her.
The next morning she tells me that on her neck there were like bruised red hand marks. To this day she sleeps with the rosemary by her side, scared that, that day may come again.
She told me that she swore she thinks its a demon. I was sacred when she had told me this. I still get the goosebumps still thinking about it, even to this day.

Invisible Creature Entered My Body
Actually I have lots of unknown and strange experience but this one is the scariest experience that I've ever had.
Once in the morning I was lying in the bed alone in my room. I was completely awake. I could hear sound of TV, and voices of all my family (I say this just to tell that I was completely awake). Then suddenly I felt something in front of my face. I could feel it but I couldn't see it.OH MY GOD. I even was able to hear its breathing. Then suddenly I felt something warm slowly started entering my body from head until my leg.
After that I was blocked. I wanted to move but I couldn't. I wanted to talk and ask for help but I found myself completely unable to speak or make a sound and ask for help. I was so confused and scared. While I was sure that I was awake and I wanted to move my body like always do but I couldn't.
My eyes were open and I could see the room. As soon as I tried to pray and spelled the name of God in my mouth I was free and I ran from the room.
I have no idea what that was, but I always will remember this as a scary experience.
