The Restaurant Ghost

I have had my share of ghostly encounters over the years and have shared many of my experiences right here on this website!

I work in the Country Store at a local Cracker Barrel Restaurant. Last Sunday I was greeting guests and handing out samples of candy when I got a chill that ran down my arm and through my entire body. It is quite warm in the store during the day with so many guests shopping and sunshine streaming in the windows so that chill caught me quite off guard. A guest standing next to me must have felt it too, as she gave a sudden shiver.

A woman walked up to me and said, "A ghost just walked by you." She winked and walked away leaving me, to be perfectly honest, stunned... so either we have ghost at Cracker Barrel or something followed me to work....

Haunted Cracker Barrel

OK so the Cracker Barrel in Knoxville Tennessee is haunted. If you use the payphone you can hear a ghost voice sometimes in the back. Also sometimes you can see a waitress named Margie (says on her name tag) but then if you ask they will tell you no Margie works there anymore. She used to but along time ago and she has been dead awhile I guess.

My friend asked the manager about it and says that she is seen a lot and pours coffee and even still gets tips! So if you see Margie be sure to be nice and tip her!

Another Interesting Experience

This happened rather recently. My friend decided that he was going to move out to his work office and stay there as they had a whole apartment in the back and he offered me to stay the night with him. Of course I thought it would be cool to do so I said yes. It was just him in me at the time and the office door in the front room was shut tightly and locked.

We had sat in the back just talking and working on our scholarship portfolios. Suddenly a door in the back slammed. I jumped ten feet in the air! It was scary. We sat there for a bit and it happened again, though this time you could hear the footsteps walking down the hallway.

We scuttled back to the office, spooked. He said this happened on a regular basis but not usually so close together. We moved back to the bedroom and were getting for bed when we heard another loud thunk. Thinking someone might have broken in we grabbed a bat by the door and wandered down the hallway. A picture that was on the wall was now on the floor.

We checked everything and still couldn't find any point of a break in. So we finally decided that we were just going to leave. It was starting to get way to spooky there.

Paranormal Packaging Room

I work in a veggie cannery in Oregon. In the winter I work sanitation in the packaging room after fresh pack is all done, during the summer we pack green beans, corn, and squash, in the fall crews go to minimal and I stay in the packaging room. Its very haunted!

My crew of four and I work for the Sanitation Department. We come in and clean when the production crews are gone home for the evening. We work graveyard, so there's no one in there but us! and maybe one mechanic. We hear machines coming on, no one there to operate them, we hear voices on the machines and we see. The only mechanic says its not him because he wonders why things are on when we are not there, and go to lunch, we turn every machine off, he verifies, we don't go about alone, safety rules.

We hear someone whistle while they work, forklifts have all been in the shop AT THE SAME TIME. We have a lady who haunts the bathroom. I can be in there by myself and the door to the stall shakes real hard like someone needs the bathroom now, and our female crew members have heard it and so have the production ladies! and the sink! The water comes on by itself! I have been there for twelve years now and I haven't even begun yet! Boy, can I tell you some stories!
